Operational safety

In addition to the pure operation of the systems, the safeguarding of the ongoing operation is of course also an important aspect for a leading registrar. For this reason, CPS-Datensysteme operates its infrastructure in three German data centres with an optimal connection as well as the equipment necessary for data centres, such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) with N+1 redundancy (or higher), backup generators, multi-level access controls (manned checkpoints, personnel interlocks, biometric readers), fire alarm/fire extinguishing systems and multi-component systems for temperature control. The data centres we use are certified to ISO 22301 and ISO 27001. In order to prevent failures, all services without exception are operated on RAID systems and additionally secured by a replacement system (replica) kept in cold-standby.

All relevant processes and workflows of the company are defined as guidelines. Among other things, response and resolution times for incoming enquiries from the customer service, sales and complaint departments are defined. The handling of documents and their processing in the central document management system is also clearly regulated. Enquiries by email are processed using a ticket system and escalated if necessary. The continuous video surveillance of sensitive company areas as well as regular data backups, the use of current encryption technologies and multi-level authorisation checks protect our company data.
